What advantages did you find with the bigger bowl, why did you change

As I said, better vacuum at cups and also the other advantage is in nearly 15 years we have never had a smashed bowl. Saying that 3k would buy you a fair few bowls.
We were in half a notion of using the old Alfa ones in the new parlour due to the bulkiness, but then decided different. We tried 5 different clusters in the old parlour at the time before deciding.

A local lad was telling me his cell count had risen and was having lots of mastitis and he put it down to his dad and son not liming the beds (he hadn’t noticed they weren’t):scratchhead: his cluster flush wasn’t doing much either.

I think part of the problem with high cell counts is down to too many inexperienced people milking
can you expand on that please, we operate with 4 youngish lads (20-35yo) doing the milking, our scc sits at 150 ish. Was best (80-100) when it was just me and a 21yo girl who was excellent with stock, but unfortunately 300+ animals was physically too much for her on a regular basis.

I found the mc11 started to flood when yields hit 8000kg switched to the mc31 which was a massive improvement twenty years on and history is repeating itself an upgrade is due.
