New digital Deeds , and update

we are currently going though Probate , solicitor has said deeds are in a bit of a mess and needs updating as bits have been bought , sold, built on ,before she transfers to new digital format , who do i ask to do this job Land agent ? surveyor ? TIA

Solicitor, I would have thought.
They usually deal with Land Registry for Titles and Stamp Duty.

Info then available to others in searches etc.

We did this for my father's estate but only when it came to be transferred to various beneficiaries so as to avoid extra cost.

strangely going through exactly the same our solicitor has had there conveyancing team contact us to do this, (y)

It's not new. Must be over 10 years since, after a transaction, Solicitor said call in and collect the bundle of documents relating to your deeds as the land registry now store everything electronically . He suggested keeping everything Incase of a future query.

I am not sure they take forever, but you have to be in a queue to get it done. The problems are often solicitors dragging it out before they apply which compounds things. IMO they only did the bare minimum for two years during covid like easy transfers on what was registered everything else they just ignored.

Ours said they could destroy them as they weren't needed now.
I collected them the following day.
We've dipped into them twice since then.
'Have you got the 1865 compulsory purchase by the water corporation?'
'Yes!'

May of speeded up last year possibly but was diabolical before.
