Hello all, as some might know we are doing a permitted development which is away from the farm and will have to name it soon. Has anyone any ideas on a nice name? Either you own or know off etc.
Basic facts are it's on a hill, near a spring and has lovely views but I would like to steer clear of traditional hill view farm etc iykwim.
Thankyou I was thinking if "vista" or similar but not sure if it's not too modern.
Thinking caps on chaps (chapesses) .

We are in a similar situation except that many many years ago there was a small holding down the track from where we have built the house and buildings, it still shows on some maps, the outline of the house and sheds can still be seen. It was called Tyn y Coed, (house in the woods) so, although our new house is not in the woods, we have retained the name. Is there some thing historical attached to yours?

Created a new yard 12 years ago and used local prompts / landmarks for some inspiration

The entrance was off Mereash lane which has a lot of Ash trees and it's on top of a hill so we went with the name Highash in the end

Old field and land owner names could be good choices ? We have another yard called Snelsons named after the old farmer who built the first shed there

Don't feel you have to rush it, just call it The Farm until you work it out. Takes years for places to get names and it's a shame seeing some of the modern names you do.
