NEW HOLLAND T7040

i have a new holland t7040 which is causing us some problems it is showing the error code 12184 along with the light for the Electronic parking lock it will move but obviously we cannot use it. Has anyone come across anything like this.

Handbrake pads are worn, will probably need replaced. Might be able to get away with adjusting the nut underneath for the electronic handbrake but more than likely need new pads.

May only need adjustment. Same number or similar shows up on our puma cvx every now and again. First time it happened a few years back we got the pads changed as our dealer had no experience before with this, but found next till no wear on them.

We replaced the pads on a t7270 with 1250 hours on the clock. Bought it ex hire only had it a few weeks before they failed. Absolutely worn out

One can only assume they were badly adjusted causing them to drag. Under normal circumstances it shouldn't happen.

Yeah we've no idea how it happened. Unless a previous operator was engaging park on the move, the handbrake does start to engage before the tractor is stationary

Does Newholland still apply the handbrake at the pinion shaft like on the 70 series?
I recently had to replace the pads and discs on a 8970

Yeah grew up farming with deere so it became a user name here, now I drive a fendt and repair whatever color comes into the shop ( between busy season on our contracting we fill in with service and repair work )
