New Ranger vs New Amarok

Same here; just an abs ring so far in 86000 miles. I love it. Really don’t know what I’ll replace it with…I guess the last of the old V6 Roks are priced sky high now if these new ones are a bit ‘diluted’ 🤷‍♂️

Just had mine valued. 258bhp V6 on a 70 plate, 41k miles. Trade £28k. Retail £34k with warranty to give you an idea.

The older V6 must be quite a thing then, I can only compare my new V6 to Navara's ( comparing apples and pears, I know) as that's all i've had in the past and this knocks the socks right off them, i've been very impressed with it, the pickup from 30 to 70 is quite a thing (hence the shite mpg :X3::cry::cry:)

Best truck I have ever had by a country mile. The 2.0l bi-turbo amarok I had was ok. Then I went to the 228bhp 3.0L V6 which was great but this last one at 258bhp is better again in every aspect. It gives the best fuel economy whilst having instant power when you want it. Over the years we've had hi-lux, navara's, L200's, Rangers and none of them came close to the proper VW Amarok. Its a poor show they are now selling VW badged ford rangers and as said the one I have just had is average in comparison to the real Amarok.

Right he says it was an offer they had on. Its the most bog basic 90 hardtop 250 MHEV. No optional extra's so as it comes straight out of the brochure. £4500 + vat upfront then £380 + vat for 24 months. Total £13,620 + vat for 24 months or average £567.50 + vat per month. Gives him 30k miles. He's got to service it and there was a one off admin fee of £250 + vat. This is a straight contract hire. Excess mileage charge on top.

Keep an eye on their special deals because I have my name on a VW Amarok Aventura 3.0l V6 (none commercial version so you can only claim 50% of the VAT back) for 24 months, 15k miles per year. £2859 + vat initial payment then £286 + vat per month for 12 months. £150 + vat one off admin fee. Option to extend for a further 12 months in 2 x 6 month batches at the same monthly price meaning its a 24 month deal if you want to extend. Sadly I don't need it now so will loose the admin fee when I cancel it. It was due in July if anybody is interested and wants to see if it can be transferred. Even only being able to get half the vat back its still one of the cheapest top spec trucks deals you'll see.

Nothing is untraceable these days believe me. Dealer level software can find it and flag it on their database automatically. It’s not down to the techs discretion, the computer puts a flag on the car and that’s that.
The beauty of tuning boxes is the fact they only fool the ECU and when removed there's no sign they were ever there. Except for the fact that there may be faults stored such as fuel pressure spikes outside of ECU parameters etc which can raise suspicion and make it obvious something has been on there.

I’ve changed the alloys on mine and I had a question for the dealer about the TPMS …. they told me what my tyre pressures were from the dealership …. Big brother is watching !!!
Still has to be on the car, many car apps send to phone, but who is looking when you are on the motorway at 3 am and rear tyre deflating?? which is why they became standard fit.
