Is this just another of Bozza's dead cats or is it going to go ahead. This despite the royal family stating they want nothing to do with it and it is not to be named after Prince Philip. Six excellent designs are featured below:

Except to the Sunday Times:-

Unfortunately, Buckingham Palace wants absolutely nothing to do with this scandalous embarrassment.

One senior royal source told The Sunday Times the ship was regarded as “too grand” a symbol to be used by the monarchy in the modern age.

They said: “It is not something we have asked for.”

The report stated that Buckingham Palace has not been involved in the planning process, and indicated the Queen is not in favour of naming the £200m ship after her late husband.

Without a name it's no source at all, typical newspaper with an agenda, unfortunately gullible easily lead people fall for this garbage particularly when it suits their own personal anti uk agenda

I think the day when the old one was decommissioned was a sad day. Ok the Royals enjoyed something the rest of us couldn’t (but can now of you visit Leith!) but the amount of PR power this ship had for UK trade and diplomacy globally was immense. A new fuel efficient one built here brimming with UK technology would be good. Maybe tech companies can sponsor their components to bring the build cost down? Floating UK trade advert

Just another example of Bozo letting his mouth run away with him, seems he has found an endless supply of money that someone is going to be liable for, you can be sure Bozo will be long gone on the day of reckoning!

Do you seriously think her majesty wishes at 95 to spend the remainder of her days floating round on some plastic gin palace which will mean precisely nothing to her. The only person with any interest in using it will be Bozza, as it will go along with the two jets he has already saddled on the taxpayer. The country and the world has moved on since the days of royal yachts and visiting the outpost of Empire. If we need to host trade exhibitions there are 2 aircraft carriers with massive enclosed spaces that can be used.

Massive enclosed empty spaces more like, shame we can't afford the planes to put on them, maybe old Gordon Brown can come up with the money as he ordered them! Come to think of it seems Brown & Bozo have more in common then you would have thought.

Plus £200 million would barely get you anything remotely suitable, unless it's its going to be built in China or a s/h cruise ship.

This is the Crystal Endeavour a luxury small cruse ship for 200 guests and I guess what you would be looking to replicate in a royal yacht. but the cost was £800 million.

Of course the Royals have absolutely no interest.
In the days of Her Majesty’s Ship Britannia , what went on Britannia, stayed on Britannia
Today what goes on HMS Carrienudgewink, will be on facebook in minutes and the poor old purser, Wilberforce Humprey’s has been replaced by the fearsome petty officer Gilbert, who no one is quite sure is port or starboard
