New small grant scheme launched today

Phoned yesterday evening to come today at 11 am so very little notice.

To be honest I've been naughty. I ordered and paid for a headscoop from Batemans in May and its not been delivered yet. I've emailed and called on a weekly basis and have a paper trail to prove but its not here on farm yet. Every time I called I was promised it would arrive before the scheme end date so I just cracked on and put the claim in. Will be interesting to see the outcome!

Good luck. Let us know how you get on

Has anyone had any response after sending in their claim?

I sent mine in last week but I've heard nothing to say they have it and I keep getting reminders that the deadline is approaching fast.
I sent my claim in on 19th September - got a confirmation email, then on the 20th October they requested photos which we sent back within the hour and despite emailing and telephoning for an update we have received nothing. Is it just me or is anyone else having these problems?

Inspector was very pleasant but thorough. I was completely up front and honest about the head scoop situation and he was very understanding.

First he wanted to see all the original invoices and bank statements and cross checked them against the ones I emailed in my application. He signed and dated all documents as he went through.

Then he wanted to see an up to date asset register with the items showing on it. Luckily I have one as part of our accounts package and its bang up to date.

He then went outside and inspected all the items, taking photos of them and their serial numbers. I had also taken photos when I received the items so I gave him those.

All the evidence he collected is going back to the head office and Im sure there will be plenty of letters and fuss about the head scoop before I see any payment.

Do you think they will invalidate your claim as you have broken the rules?

Our cattle crush hasn't arrived yet so I put the claim in, but told them it hasn't arrived yet (Cattle crushes did get an extension for delivery) So have paid for everything (Fixed handling setup, weighbars & weigh head, Calf milk shuttle and the cattle crush) and no payment until the crush arrives.

The inspector said that will probably only withhold the headscoop part of the payment until it arrives but they may pay for everything as I have several emails promising delivery before September. I asked him if he wanted the Batemans rep number because Im f*cked off calling and emailing them every week. He politely declined but noted my frustration in his evidence.
