New tools for OSR, Wheat and Potatoes

I have another post here (https://thefarmingforum.co.uk/index.php?threads/free-cropmonitor-pro-licence.314499/) on the forum, but it seems that it isn't getting many lookers. Probably not the most interesting and engaging title. Hence the new post here.

We are looking for farmers who are willing to try out a new risk forecasting tool called CropMonitor Pro.

There are around 50 licenses available for this trial, valid until the end of the 2020 season, and we are looking for any growers of wheat or oilseed rape.

All we are asking in return is some feedback on the tool itself, how it looks, how easy is it to use, that kind of thing. This will be done over the phone a little later in the year.

In order to be registered for the trial, send an email to '[email protected]' with your name, county, farm size and phone number.

Should we get an exceptional number of applicants, we will look for a range of farm sizes and locations, we cannot guarantee you a place in the trial.

I am just wanting to make sure everyone who might be interested get's to see this and hopefully get some benefit from it while they can.

Thanks all!

Thats what I pay an independent agronomist for and not a salesman or serviced agronomist trying to sell more crap like snake oils and an app!
I spend too much time on my fecking phone and laptop as it is! On this bloody forum as well!ha ha
Apologies Daniel

But WTF is it, and how will it add to the bottom line??
It is essentially a tool that analyses a raft of data and tells you when the risk of certain pests is highest, then gives you the ideal window for treatment times.

The idea is that this will give the crop the best possible protection, and thus deliver the best possible yield.

Currently this service will be adopted mostly by independemt agronomists, so you may find you end up using the app without realising.

The CHAP/FERA development means it is completely agnostic, and it isn't going to try and sell you anything or encourage you to use more than necessary.

...and there's nothing wrong with spending time on your phone, so long as your doing something productive of course.

You don't have to apologise to me, this isn't my baby. I'm just trying to help round up some more farmers for their trial.
