Not too exiting but a new extra long mag drill cutter landed today for a job, needed to sit down when they told me the list price on it though £358! 😮 Luckily there’s a hefty discount on that 😮💨.

Is there a common method to alert when the mains comes back on? I was thinking a switched strobe connected to the mains incomer in your example, but wondered if there was a done thing.
If you are going to that bother you might as well fit an auto transfer switch that would detect the mains. I don’t think they are that dear. The electrician to fit it is going to be the same cost for a manual or auto switch which is the expensive part.

As long as you ensure proper protection of the device a strobe could work. The main incoming fuse protection needs to be brought down to probably single amp values with a MCB or fuse specifically for the strobe. Matching incoming and outgoing wire diameter on a single device will be fun. Get a tame electrician involved if you are not 100% confident as playing about is just too risky.
Yes, those are the sort of concerns. The supply is pretty chunky as it is set up for turbine export on 120mm cables. Luckily this also means there are 3 little lights on the meter panel, so maybe the solution is a lo-tech mirror/lens arrangement, or a light sensor to gsm project.

This last week has just been a series of off/on mains supply as they work their way through the fault list.

Got this to help with the cleanup and it saves a lot of manual graft.

We have no problem baling behind a 12m header. Are you still on small bales?
Yes we are not straw walker, but those new s.w Lexions have more rotary elements than the hybrid versions
