Can't be that much wrong with it as Protech export post drivers all over the world. They are becoming one of the biggest players in post driving technology. How do they get away with using a rope and no safety guarding whatsoever ever? Given your h&s is as bad or worse than our oh&s ?
Fully illegal down under.
Still unsaleable here. Any post driver that uses a hammer (even directly controlled by a ram) must be FULLY guarded. And have saftey features built in so that the hammer cant move if the guard is not around the post.Only ones that dont need full guarding are percussion drivers . Which is why I bought the one I did. Can't be that much wrong with it as Protech export post drivers all over the world. They are becoming one of the biggest players in post driving technology.

Great to see a British company innovating and shipping globally. By the way, a rope is the least dangerous option on a post driver.

Dad bought a mf 240 post banger (same as a truline 420) 45 years ago. Pto driven with a wire rope cable. It has nearly killed me twice. Jammed all my fingers between belts and pulley once when on my own .And I cant remember how many times the actual cable has snapped...So I'm glad things have moved forward for saftey sake.my first thought was the rope looked VERY dodgy . . .
imagine it after a few years in the sun
But yet your authorities are happy enough to pump pesticides out of planes and still use chemicals in food production banned here decades ago, horses for courses.Just asking why given your h&s standards that something like that is acceptable. That's all.... And just pointing out that manufacturers AND owners. Cant get away with that here now. Try it, and someone gets injured whether through their own stupidity or not, as the boss/owner/manufacturer , you can expect a significant fine.
That's not covered by worksafe. Or h&s as you would know it though. So irrelevant argument. Another case in point. Most quad bike manufacturers are pulling out of here because it has been mandated that they must fit rops to all bikes sold from October this year. Due to worksafe reports into fatalities every year from roll overs. But yet your authorities are happy enough to pump pesticides out of planes and still use chemicals in food production banned here decades ago, horses for courses.
And that is the whole point of why I asked.....it was a simple question. Not having a go at any of you. Just wondering why with all the red tractor tape and crap that you have to abide by, why there is no guards required. Simple question....But yet your authorities are happy enough to pump pesticides out of planes and still use chemicals in food production banned here decades ago, horses for courses.
Thanks, I can stretch to 4. Hope they go wellI’m sure it 4
I shouldn't worry, somebody's going to be all over it now!And that is the whole point of why I asked.....it was a simple question. Not having a go at any of you. Just wondering why with all the red tractor tape and crap that you have to abide by, why there is no guards required. Simple question....
