Off to the UK for a couple of weeks tomorrow, hope we have some sunshine while we are there, had enough of the rain and it is cold only 8c this morning.
I think that was our high temp yesterday.
It was that wet misty rubbish that we needed in December!

Hope you have a smooth flight, and a great trip.
Bring the longer days back with you (y)

We had a couple of lovely Dutch folk who travelled the world inseminating dairy cows, amazing the conversation and experiences.
Quite a circuit they had going...

I still occasionally get an email from them when they are in NZ, but haven't caught up with them since 2010.

All the best for your evening @holwellcourtfarm - no trade secrets :sneaky:
that is interesting considering the state of farming today.

If you wanted to buy a dairy farm in Southland it wouldn't take long to find one that would be for sale...
It really matters what land you want, and where, the cheap land is gone of course but there seems to be activity in spite of that.
Good returns help with that, if it wasn't for strongwool NZ ag would just about have all its ducks in a row, at the moment (y)

some of the southland farms are very pricey for what they are ,and only mr dysons and pension funds can afford them.
