Next leader of the party
Surprised Michael fallon had no votes yetNone of these, please Rory Stewart, better still Ruth Davidson!
Could be interestingThe money appears to be on Jacob Rees-Mogg. A fortnight ago he was in the 50/1 now in single figures with some bookmakers. I had a wager last week on JRM,lets see how it pans out over the coming weeks/months.!!
Mr Rees mog next pm thenNext leader of the party
WhyTwo things come to mind on this matter, firstly that you haven't stated whether you are asking for our preference or our opinion, the two may not be mutually inclusive; and then there is the question of whether or not JRM, my choice, could be persuaded to put himself forward.
Those I know in the party HQ think he would if begged but that he is genuinely reluctant - which is to his credit in the opinion of many. He may be reluctant because of thinking of the office as a poisoned chalice, but many think his sense of duty in a period of need would tip the balance.
He was discussed on here a while ago. He is a genuinely good and decent man; he is intelligent, able, decisive, determined and consistent too. He is also very articulate and quite affable. But... he is an old Etonian and that may put the kibosh on his chances of leadership.
My second choice would be David Davis, but he could become a first choice if it were to lead to a JRM premiership later. In any case, the next PM should be someone who supported leaving the EU; only such a person can represent the majority who chose that option and be trusted to be wholeheartedly behind working toward it.
None of them will challenge , because it is a poisoned chalice.I don't think there will be one
they will go a round table system
I think he may be next leaderSadly , while I rarher like JRM , he appears to b very honest and totally unprepared to compromise his dress, accent and views. I am certain he would be a far better face of Britain than many of the current bunch. However he would be gods gift to the labour party at the next election.
I fully agree with you,I well remember Macmillian, and Sir Alec, landowners and good shot's as well !!I think he may be next leader
I think he may be next leader
Didn't think we had oneThey can't have a round table as it does not fit our constitution.
Didn't think we had one
Good job you have not got oneMust have at least one round table. Didn't King Arthur leave one in his will
Still no votes for fallon or DavisGood job you have not got one
You would all want to sit down one side
