NH T6 tractors

Thinking about changing my T6030 for a T6, probably a T6.155 as I need a tad more power and a bit more lift capacity. Just wondering what the characteristics of the 4 cylinder engine are. Do they pull right through the rev range or drop off a cliff at low revs.
I do like the engine in the 6030 as she pulls right down to tick over. I also have a 4 cylinder TS110, which pulls fine but the new 4 cylinders are an unknown quantity to me.
Any comments welcome.

Personally I’d push the boat out a bit more and get a 175... we have a 155 and it’s bottom gear is just a bit shy on power it is just a tiny bit shy on low end power once it’s got going it’s got power all the way through the ranges maybe the gearbox is the problem rather than the power....

Engine braking in the 4 cylinders is shockingly bad

Have a demo and see what you think but the brakes in the new t6 range are dangerously poor imho
I would agree, it’s something to watch out for with poor operators, but if you do decide to demo/buy make sure its dynamic command, you won’t want anything else.

We’ve got a t6.175 about a year old now, it pulls well right across the Rev range but the only way to really know is demo one to compare with your 6030. This one has had a fairly easy life so far on 4 furrow plough and 3m combo drill but you might notice a drop off in pulling if you’re working it harder. Ours now works alongside an mf 6270 and not fair to directly compare but I’d say the NH is better than the 6cyl massey at low revs, the massey is quite a short stroke engine mind. Definitely go for dynamic command, it’s in another league to the SLE scream box. Never noticed an issue with brakes here although we don’t do much road work and the T6 hasn’t done any trailer work yet.

Maybe I should have said that I will be looking at a low hours second hand, so the only demo will probably be in the dealers yard. Have to say that the brakes on the 6030 are not wonderful but it does stop if you stand on them. Having said that, my tractors do little road work so its not a major issue. The tractor will be doing mainly cultivation work primarily. I have considered pushing the boat right out and going for a T7.190, but think it may be a bit of overkill for a 5 furrow plough and press, not to mention the cash!

We demoed a t6 with dynamic command gear box very nice tractor to drive. Currently got a t6020 so was looking at the t6.140. Only issue for us really is they are massive. So much bigger physically, put us off abit.

T6.145 Electro Command here, only 40 hours on it but pulls well through the rev range. Gearbox is a massive improvement over the older ones, no whining. I see some people complain about brakes but I don’t see an issue with them? Seemed like a massive tractor at the start but it’s actually rather nimble, not much more cumbersome than my 7740.

We went from a 6020 to a T6155. As you say I don’t see an issue with the brakes, certainly none worse than 6020 which was also fine in the braking department.

Thinking about it, the only niggle is the fan/aircon- it has a somewhat annoying high pitch whine - first world problems ?

If it’s in warranty I would get it checked out as the one I drive is virtually silent ?‍♂️

Would you not be better looking at the new 6 cylinder t6.160 for replacing 6030?

Will do, dealer did check it previously but could find no fault. Seems to be pressure related as stops if you open rear window then starts as soon as it’s closed ?‍♂️
The vent behind the seat hasn't been closed inadvertently? The brakes feel poor cos they aren't power assisted like a lot have been in the past, more pedal effort required but maybe less likely to wear them out quickly.
