NH TM155 working lights problem

Weird problem....fitted 4 new LED working lights to replace originals, 2 front upper and 2 rear upper. The 2 front ones work fine, but the 2 rear ones come on with low brightness when light stalk on steering column is switched on, even though the press switch on the side dash for the rears is OFF. They come on with full brightness when switch on side dash is pressed ON. The original lights only came on when the switch on the side dash was pressed on. Nothing changed except fitting the new LED lights. Why this problem with the rears, not the fronts?
Also...tonight I switched the lower rear working lights on (they are the originals), and they wouldnt go off even when I switched the button on side dash off. or switched the light stalk off, or even when I switched off the ignition key. Opened up the lights/4WD and Diff lock switch panel, and removed the loom from the sealed unit, and those rear lights stayed on!! Had to open light units up and pull live wire off.
Any ideas?

when the work lights wouldn’t go off on mine I pulled the relay out of the fuse box. Then when I replaced it with a new one the front work lights won’t come on. I think you have to re calibrate the ECU for the control panel or something.

Fuse board overheated. NH designers in their wisdom wired them through fuses in two pairs on one fuse! They heat up slightly then start discolouring the wires at the connections behind the fuse then resistance hits in and warms them up even worse intill they start melting the insulation!

pull the board out as much as you can and put you contortionist mode into action to try and stick your head, torch and wire cutters behind the board without too much dismantling!!!

Similar frustrating weird things with the lights on my 20yo MF 390 and I convinced myself I'd blown a fusible link. (The workshop manual says the wiring harness HAS to be replaced when this happens, but probably over kill and you still have to find the blown fuse!). After struggling for a few days, on and off, I gave up and got an auto electrician in. I'm glad I did as he sorted it. A wire had pulled out of a multi-pin connector, I'd got the wires to a rear cluster the wrong way round, and one filament of a double filament bulb (stop and indicator) had gone. Worth the expense.
