The farming thing was a bit of a silly thing to say but certainly most forestry operations and all construction have been at a standstill.

Bit of a non event all round I would think.
Most of the things they are saying you will soon be allowed to do have been happening for the past 7-10 days anyway.

Wood harvester, forwarder and timber lorries been going non stop next to us since before lockdown. Most builders seemed to start back up on Monday of this week.
Scot Gov on catch up with events at the moment.

I watched it, definitely a wtf moment, still. she's a hundred times better than the clusterfudge at Westminster, I feel really sorry for her, the amount of personal abuse she gets from the unionists on a daily basis is vile. lot of really nasty people in the world

Ive never had any time for her in the past, the whole angry face bitching about the next imagined slight wore thin years ago. But I think she has performed very well over the past months. Her clear, matter of fact speeches compared to that fool in number 10 waving his fists about, shouting, shirking the public appearances shows Boris up in my opinion.

Doesnt really matter if she said farmers can get back to work, she’ll be pretty busy the now, at least we got a mention.

She's definitely the grown up in the room.

And I'm not her biggest fan.

Why is she on bbc england doing her daily power trip and not just bbc scotland? Sick of the sight of her. TV programs during the virus has been a disgrace, taken them weeks to show a few football replays.

No idea. Guess it’s the BBC’s decision.
They do strange things like that sometimes. We’ve been getting subjected to England’s friendly football matches up here on prime time BBC1 of an evening the past couple of years:rolleyes:

I thought it was only the english that were stopped from from watching england play in any sports unless we paid pay per view type fees. Seems wrong to me that kids etc cannot watch there national team on the bbc

12 nurses tested positive in Exeter 2 weeks ago, none showing symptoms.
FFS

You have the virus for a good 7 days before you show any symptoms

That's part of why it's so infectious, you go about business as normal with it, all the while spreading it around before you get sick

It's why everybody has been isolating for months!

Farming wont get back to normal until there's a vaccine, and we can all get together for a blether at the market, and a pish up at the shows

Sturgeon, been talking about stuff she has no clue about for years. Nothing new.

That’s the thing though.
Many of us in Scotland that have always thought that have been pleasantly surprised by how she has handled all this.
Grudgingly in many cases, but I think she has handled this and put herself in the firing line way more than any other UK leader during this time. Must be a huge amount of pressure to continually deal with this combined with stupid pre rehearsed questions from journalists irrelevant to what the days press briefing has been about.

Certainly prefer her straight approach to the continual spinning of figures and commitments that’s coming out of Westminster at the moment. You can’t spin your way out of something like this.
