No BT line from 2020

I've asked around at work and most people say they pay about the same

Mid range GB data plus daytime calls etc. I'm out of contract and I've asked the customer service monkeys and whatever I say I can do without doesn't save me much . Advice welcome !

Apart from calls to my elderly parents, I wouldn't say I use my landline for calls much. I have no mb signal and with EPA for my Aunt, cattle potentially getting out and the need for internet for browsing and my camera, I'd gladly tell them to poke it

Worth a shot to start off with.

I know of three or maybe four people who no longer use a landline phone and only use mobiles, although only one in a business environment, and quite a few who keep thinking to do so, this might move that along a bit quicker now.
We don't have a landline any longer , mobiles and mobile wifi , We get much better wifi at a fraction of the cost . It made my day , the day I told BT we no longer needed there services . Funny thing every time I phoned BT with a problem I got India . When I phoned them to sack them I got Britain with a lady I could plainly understand .

That is very common indeed with a lot of firms I find.

it

Just tell them you are leaving.
They were going to be putting my landline with unlimited broadband up from £36 to £45 month.
Told them I was going to SSE and it came down to £24. Said I still wanted to leave and it then came down to £19.99.
Think that’s a fairly standard offer at the moment if you refuse the first figure they come up with.
