No power case 895

Hi

I had to clean the fuel tank, suspect the gauze got blocked so blew air back from filters. I cleared the blockage so went to test but there is absolutely no power to the tractor.

its possibly the battery and will test but its been on charge all day and not moved past the 25% charger.

then when checking everything again I noted a disconnected wire. It’s possible this has always been disconnected. But it’s near the fuel pump where I was working. Can’t see anywhere it’s meant to go to though.

That looks like the exciter wire off the alternator. Is the charging light working on the dash with the ignition on, and does it work if you quickly earth that terminal? If so, it belongs on the 3rd terminal on the alternator and it won't charge without it.

I doubt there's any electrics involved in the fuelling.
