2nd of September and this is going on, hopefully a temporary measure.

Anyone installed cubicles and mats lately? What's everyone's preferred choice? The last mats I installed where from easyfix they where a single foam mat. I am fairly pleased with them for the price. Think they where around £56 each. Thinking off trying easyfix cubicles this time but haven't priced them yet.

That's the year over,no more fire fighting, cows in at night for good tonight, may take in dry cows with the hope of getting out
I'd give this summer 6.5/10. At least there's plenty of forage, grain crops look a mess
Patience man, the final bout of good weather will come, always does probably when the grain has lost its sheen. We managed about 3 acres of barley between showers this past 2 days not in bad shape YET but i have a lot of spring wheat , beans and rape to go so i hope we get a decent spell soon Cows are happy inside at night and scc has fallen back to 140 from a high of 420 during last months mud fest . My trailer man said today before we beat a retreat back to the shed wihen yet another shower stopped play that the " weather will improve whem Kerry have another all ireland won " . I hope he is right on both counts .

I’ve still 100 plus acres of flat weather beaten barley and wheat to combine and a heap of straw to bale (no demand on it this year) and grounds getting wet, days shorter etc and after watching my neighbour fight with his zero grazer since after the heavy rain last Friday to feed his cows, following it up the road on Sunday with the juice running out the back of it at every corner I wouldn’t fancy swapping places, milk might be more profitable etc but it’s not money handed out for doing nothing, by the time he milked, fed calves/dry stock did 2 loads of zero grazer (11 mile round trip) he hadn’t much of a Sunday left to himself
