Isn't it tarra we used to sow grass seed with a 135 and a vicon 5 cwt wagtail. What's the value of that outfit?

Potatoes dug on Wednesday, dung on Thursday, ploughed on Friday, grass seed today.

Went back to sowing with the spinner, I think you get better coverage than a drill and no waiting about hoping it doesn't rain.

Hard to believe there is as few stones as that in the foothills of slemish.
That's why I hate ploughing here, there's so many bloody stones. I swear they grow.

I'm a long way from slemish, but you just don't drag around a break here unless you've got a team of fresh young backs to stoop gathering stones. Power harrow has been a life saver. I once got a guy to drill barley with a Massey drill with disc coulters. Left it a flipping mess of stones on the surface.
