Tbh I had no problem with the scheme, we heard the headline figure of how much it was going to cost (£400 million was it?) But how much of that money would have ended up back in the Exchequer through increased tax returns either as direct income tax or through people buying machinery etc.
A broiler man neighbour couldn't get the money spent quick enough, tractor, silage trailer, pickup and even a new roller all in the space of 18 months.
Money from the scheme going back into the economy.

it was the poultry boys who moy park told to sign up to it the had their heating payments cut from Moy park. That’s the real scandal in All this

They only had to copy and paste the British scheme. I could if done that. The problem was obviously no ceiling. I knew there was an issue long before it made the press. I was told it took 8k/ year to heat a henoouse on gas. Neighbour said now it was costing 40k. On simple mathematics no government scheme could sustain the massive increase. If I had a henoouse I would of had a massive big fxxk off boiler too

The country is slowly grinding to a halt, government want businesses to take these decisions for themselves, rather than telling them what to do, they don't want to look to be authoritarian.
