Is anyone lifting decent crops? Farm hasn't responded well to fert at all. Most years I scalp my silage ground with the ewes but tried to be fancy and kept them off this year. Now half the fields are browny/ purple stuff the cows could graze down nicely. Bag to the acre or wait for heat?

Of the fields that have been cut round here, some are decent, but the majority are light and still very green at the base. But, we're quite a frost prone area so this spring has been particularly hard, so much so that we've just finished the first round of grazing today!
