We started z grazing new grass sowed last august after winter barley .
Full of volunter barley but the are cleaning it .
Milk yield well up on it too .
The will go out tomorrow because the loader tractor has gone down and i cant load the maize to supplement the z grass .
One bag of N spread a few weeks ago has greened up the paddocks enough i hope ! Will spread 2 cwt acre straight after the first grazing .
This year with the price of meal and diesel grazed grass is king and if the weather holds its game on for as long as possible .

Slurry makes the ground a bit treacherous, so I like the bag on first. And sower guy can tiptoe around and check out the soft bits ahead of the tanker. Tanker can judge by his marks.

Called at a new farm yesterday, 120 cows and a very well bred bull standing in a pen. Was asked for 3 sexed straws as the man is sick of finding "suitcases" when he lifts the calves legs!

Only 3 dairy bred bull calf’s born on this farm in the last 4 years and those were out of sexed straws moving to sexed semen definitely worth it in my opinion

That is a problem with au natural but if you want the wee girls you have to take the wee boys, certainly over the years think stock bull are producing more bull calves. Is there any index for a bull having bull or heifer calves, index for everything else
