Mother in law arrives
Wouldn't be so bad if it was only Christmas day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Still, she's just trying to help.........................................................................................................apparently
Mother in law arrives
Suddenly there's a crisis in the yard.
It all seems one way traffic on the mother in law,I wonder what they think of you all
Seems to be litres men on the boards and in all the photos. The holstein makes the money the meal man said.Reading a couple of articles about some chap who reckons the processors need to start paying based on solids rather than litres. As a non dairy man it seems illogical that the majority of processors are based on litres. What is the general consensus? Is it a case that the board members are scratching their own backs and don’t want to change it?
On the flip side of that you could say the one to jump first may pick up a few solids men who are disgruntled if their processor didn’t switch which would help offset losing litres men? With the added bonus of reduced transport. I mean the beef grid is screwed up to but the suppliers aren’t shareholders. It's a case of appeasement. Of course it's the logical way to price milk for manufacturing, and everyone knows it, but it continues to be the elephant in the room. It's thought to be a risk to which ever company moves first, because if the competitor doesn't follow suit, they may pick up disenfranchised Holstein producers. And so the local NI herd remains frozen in 1996. ?
I’ve 7 cows bulling this morning, does this mean I’m getting a bit tonight? Happy Christmas.
Mine leaves before I get home to avoid me
And You forgot fixing the food blender to make the stuffing, its all in a days farmingCow stuck in a cubicle.
Cow down lying on the arm in the robot/down in the pit.
Cow bulling slips and breaks the stifle joint = go get gun.
Cows bust a feed rail open, 60 cows running around and have the yard half wrecked.
Yard trip off. Spend half an hour running around trying to isolate the cause.
An old single slat from 1965 has broken and dropped in. The discovery scraper is sitting bridged in the cavity. Hoist it out with loader, then hoak in the briars for a replacement slat.
The seal in the volume hose pump has gone, letting water into the motor. Can't wash anything down basically until Monday 30th.
Flat wheel on the loader.
Burst oil pipe on the loader.
Nut auger breaks.
I actually got splattered with 180 degree oil whilst scooping the roasties out of the fryer. ??
Didn't have that one on the list.
