Jeez non rt milk is paying better than rt.can someone explain to me the advantages of rt. Keep it simple like I'm 4 years old so I can understand. In the meantime I'll carry on with the no hoops no loops no courses milking as normal

The 12 month change in powder & cheese is why your non rt milk is above Dale farm's price. Unfortunately it doesn't make the products worth more, but not having it reduces the range of buyers for them.

Dard don't ask for milking machine report,a bulk tank service report , info sheets on all your chemicals,non-smelly soap and five pages of shite from your vet.
All of the above cost money and Z gets the best price.
Constantly amazed that dairy farmers have enough time to be soooo upto date with bovine medicine that they don’t find the process of doing the herd health plan useful.
Bravo

Please elaborate, what have you learned from doing your health plan. Genuinely interested.
Reduction and then total removal of 3rd generation drugs.
Reductions in AB usage. From further reductions in dry cow tubes to using more painrelief instead of drugs in certain instances. Our antimicrobial use is now 6.8 mgkg the national 2020 target for antibiotic usage reduction is 21 mgkg.

Removal of AB use when treating toxic mastitis. ( we may get one every 18months so not upto date on new developments)
Discussions around getting rid of digi( we are now 6 months at least with no cases.) to the point We have currently stopped footbathing all together..
Making the Decision to have an independent person do our mobility scoring. That’s had huge benefits with I have banged on enough about on here.
what may not be apparent is that we do not see the vet regularly. We would have 1 fertility visit a yr 1 Pding session a yr so perhaps I’m not getting “free advice” in the way some of you are.
I could go on but I’m guessing This is all old news to you norden iron guys.
