Reading British Dairying last night and it says commodities are only returning 33/34 pence. How are dairies paying over 35?

Friend told me the european milk auction was up 7% in the last 2 weeks

I don't think there's going to be an issue with moisture for a while yet

I was at FMT agm this evening. Tirlan will be announcing tomorrow that the 2024/25 winter bonus will be 3ppl, adjusted for quality, paid for 5 months starting in October '24. Also there will no longer be a charge for everyday collection.

Well I'll certainly not be complaining about that. That brings them miles ahead of the rest in terms of winter bonus. I take it the mood was a bit more upbeat than the previous meeting then?

Worth remembering that in and of itself it doesn't increase the amount a dairy pays out in an accounting year. It just shifts the money around, so it benefits people who produce most of their milk in those five months.

I’ve heard reports that the sun may come out this afternoon. You need a long shafted shammy to maximise intake
