These Quiet Nose Wean Tags are seemingly quite popular on Farm Marketplace! has anyone got any views Pro's, con's? :) šŸ„

I have been asked over the phone its always great to have a thread to point farmers with questions to šŸ˜

I use them. Never had a calf learn to nurse around it yet and itā€™s very rare they lose them (and they arenā€™t expensive so even if they do itā€™s not the end of the world)

Fairly easy to get in the nose but do have the have the calf held still. No silly twisty screws to tighten than can come undone.

Currently got one in a yearlings nose. Feel a bit bad as itā€™s been a few months so sheā€™s probably got raw spots from it but in this case itā€™s her own fault. When used as recommended, 5-7 days and then fence line weaning, Iā€™ve never noticed serious nose sores.

Also never had one break in the cold.
