These Quiet Nose Wean Tags are seemingly quite popular on Farm Marketplace! has anyone got any views Pro's, con's?

I have not used that type but we do use similar. 9 times out of 10 they do a good job

I use them. Never had a calf learn to nurse around it yet and it’s very rare they lose them (and they aren’t expensive so even if they do it’s not the end of the world)

Fairly easy to get in the nose but do have the have the calf held still. No silly twisty screws to tighten than can come undone.

Currently got one in a yearlings nose. Feel a bit bad as it’s been a few months so she’s probably got raw spots from it but in this case it’s her own fault. When used as recommended, 5-7 days and then fence line weaning, I’ve never noticed serious nose sores.

Also never had one break in the cold.

First time last year, simple to use, 4 days in then remove and remove calves, no noise at weaning, great tool will use again
