Why are you all scrabbling round trying to get made up points? I thought everyone was supposed to be quitting FA to give Red Tractor a bloody nose…
Because farmers have no way of organising them selves to counter the stupidity of RT .
If only we could have some type of union of farmers ,lets call it the nation farmers union.
Oh hang on a minute...... doh ...... never mind silly idea.

I don't even know how many I have got but I know i have not got enough and the deadline is Feb 22 for this session.
Funny thing is I still seem able to drive the sprayer. Will I turn into a pumpkin on midnight Feb22?
I seem to think that if you don't get tje points and get thrown off NRoSO you can't re-join for a year or two. If you've got a brother or someone else on the farm then they can join NRoSO do the spraying for 3 years, oops not get the necessary points, get thrown out of NRoSO, then you can join again and do the next 3 years f spraying (y)

You'd better check the rules to make sure my memory is correct. Think that's how it used to work.

That's how we do it here. Nothing better than to cock a snoop at the Nfu owned RT

That happened to me , funny thing is it hasn't stopped me spraying since at all, not for one minute lol.
They were assey in the office about not paying qiuck enough etc , that and other things I had just had enough with them, I mean paying their wages was not on my priority list.

I have sprayed for umpteen yrs, had my Pa 1 to 6 for over 30 yrs before a lot of them were born i suspect and i have worked casually for a sprayer repairer , learning alsorts
There's no way I going to take snotty little office workers telling me what to do .

Nroso is not the worst aspect of FA, it is worth going to a couple of meetings in 3 years just to keep abreast of developments, tbh.
CPD is a thing in all industries, ask your accountant what it costs him to keep his registration up.
I am well aware that FA is a shitshow that needs ripping up, but there is no valid alternative for this year, mine expires Oct.
No Nroso regd sprayer operator, no FA pass.
It's like the whole corrupt thing was made up with the intention of preventing the unbelievers from trading.
But for this year, we are where we are.

Well I’m going to be suspended from RT if I don’t get my sprayer tested within 28 days. Never mind I am mid way through fitting a new pump which has different baseplate to original. Never mind I won’t be using it for two months. Never mind the grain I am selling at the moment was produced while it’s test was valid. Never mind I don’t want to waste antifreeze. Never mind we are in Tier 3 here with one of the worst case rates in the country or that we are coming up to the holiday season. Never mind I’m a chartered engineer who read fluid mechanics before the tester was born. Never mind the legal requirement is to test only once in three years on my acreage, not annually which they insist on and have gold plated. None of this counts for anything unless you’ve paid £250 for a youth with a van to go through the motions with a dodgy pressure gauge, loosening joints and disturbing seals as he goes.
These jokers really are the limit. Nothing to do with my inspector either. He’s a decent bloke but he’s monitored from on high and has no leeway. Anyway moves are a foot to sell all mine non assured then I won’t need these parasites. It’s just a rip off. A job creation scheme.
If everyone followed your lead, and STUCK TOGETHER maybe we would not be dictated to so much!!!

Have you not got someone who "could" come and drive your sprayer for you and most importantly supply numbers this year so you can stay assured for the time being until the whole thing hopefully gets binned!

If I am treated reasonably, and they allow agronomist meetings, Nsts points, etc from last year which went adrift posted to the old address, I will be fine.
Covid wasn't my fault, and you might expect allowances....

Having checked my CPD statement I realised I am missing points from TFF and a recent AHDB monitor event among probably dozens of other similar events. I messaged re TFF and AHDB and they asked me to send proof by email. Now I need to work out a way to show them I have done these things :(

Be aware you can only earn a certain number of "online" points. @Chris F has pointed this out before recently.....I think possibly earlier in this thread.
