Yes, I`m a NSA member and I do support their work on sheep worrying BUT their surveys just ask stupid questions/are a bit amateur . They really need to up their game!! I`ve contacted them a couple of times after bad incidents and have been promised that someone would call back....(they didn`t!)

There was a professor of linguistics (OK, a language expert) interviewed on BBC R4 the other morning who pointed out that comprehensible English is deteriorating and with it the ability to communicate. That's because of media like mobile phones and social media.

What we write these days is only short term and typed in via a key pad. So misspelled and misused words are accepted as they will only be on the screen for a moment. That leads to misunderstanding and poor explanation.

And I wonder how many have read this post, let alone understood it! But it's true though.:(

The sooner everyone stops giving a sh!t about grammar and mis spelling the better, as a dyslexic person sometimes it takes ages to write (and by the way you are the only person who on here who has said point isn’t valid because I used the wrong word!)

I seem to recall I was defending myself!

Anyway, you are criticising the wrong person, you need to go after the professor of linguistics on R4.

If you can't make yourself understood I'd have thought it was very much your concern, unless it wasn't worth reading in the first place.
