Family in AKL tell me worst Storm in 49 years is about to strike.
Fonterrafarmer have you got your Swan Dry and Gummies ready?
To be fair , I'm over the "media" doing their nuts over the weather, "Dan the f@#%ing weather man" said last night that the weather is like 50 years ago, more like "49" years, unless its 2018 now:banghead: and he wasn't even here in 1968!!! I remember the 10th of April 1968 and the weather quite well.... quite a bit of wind and rain (From the drive home in the Cortina Mk2 from Huntly).
As for bad weather, everyone seems to have forgotten Cyclone Bola too:rolleyes:
It is what it is, we have had half of our average rainfall in the last two months and the lower part of the farm has been under water four times too.

People have short memories eh.
was just thinking of you when I was looking at nullschool last night for a weather map. Hope it's short and sweet.. had 58mm here last 24hours but that cold driving sh!##y east rain. Will be interesting to see what's underwater when the Easter tides peak, I'll venture my sisters will be kicked out of Pounawea.
Even had to find some matches this morning!!

No. Decent harvest weather and yields until late Feb then the weather turned feral.Plenty of people have yet to finish.

Any improvement in the weather to get harvesting done? Feel for you, constant wind and rain over harvest is hard to take sometimes.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
