Sorry 50 years experiance leaves me short on words sometimes

If I was growing oats for whole crop iit would be on its own 2 cwt to the acre 20 ton of muck and plenty of bag muck, I don't do worst of both worlds, if you want to sow grass do the job proper

ft horses for courses agree! but to imply undersowing is not doing the job properly is blinkered to say the very least . i remember morgan bros pentre trading hay and straw so i am no youngster !

I've not done undersowing since arable area payments ceased. Good cereal crop kills the ley grass, open cereal crop to nurse the ley yields poorly and delays the profit on the ley, simples.
