My father in law really looked after his kit. There is an old conventional baler that most likely worked when put away under cover 20 years ago but is of no use to us. Sad to send it as scrap, are things like that worth anything else? There's a front end loader for a major I think. Loads of old hand tools etc.
What yo do?

There are still plenty of smaller farmers using (and buying) "obsolete" kit.

Check out the price of "old conventional balers" by Googling for the price of a Welger small baler!

I'll have to check next time I'm down. Yellow so could be new Holland. Bent pto shaft as someone dropped a round hay bale on it, how ironic! Also 2 flat tyres!

If it is a New Holland it would be pretty modern when it was put away, if it's been stored for twenty years. Didn't NH only change the colour to yellow, mid Eighties, for their conventional balers?
More likely a Bamford.:yuck:

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
