Has anyone started speculative osr drilling yet? 50 seeds/2 Acacia home saved seed going into barley stubbles after 22 t/ha FYM and a spinkle of DAP to top up the available N.

I am starting tomorrow. Field has just had 7.5t/ha broiler litter and is being subsoiled at the moment. I logged in specifically looking for a thread of this nature for some reassurance and am disappointed to find only one post so far....

Getting hedges cut and fields subsoiled, would like to see a guts of rain on horizon and the blitz it.
Campus off the heap
Bit of aspire and pinnacle bought in to see what does.

Is this the first drilling or the redrilling?
Give me some credit - we only cut the barley a week ago! Bale & clear the straw, then get the muck on.

Last 2 fields to go in tomorrow. Both wholecropped spring barley 7 days ago followed by FYM. Only 84 acres this year thanks to blackgrass making winter barley unviable. Recent successful crops of osr were all sown late July or early August.

You can all thank me when it now doesn't rain for 8 weeks, ensuring my crop failure but a dry harvest.
