I am starting tomorrow. Field has just had 7.5t/ha broiler litter and is being subsoiled at the moment. I logged in specifically looking for a thread of this nature for some reassurance and am disappointed to find only one post so far....

Give me some credit - we only cut the barley a week ago! Bale & clear the straw, then get the muck on.

Last 2 fields to go in tomorrow. Both wholecropped spring barley 7 days ago followed by FYM. Only 84 acres this year thanks to blackgrass making winter barley unviable. Recent successful crops of osr were all sown late July or early August.

You can all thank me when it now doesn't rain for 8 weeks, ensuring my crop failure but a dry harvest.

Drilled 20ha OSR on 23rd July. Just see the rows now. 16mm rain last night should bring it on now. Will drill another 33 ha this weekend.
