I’ve attached the seeder to my sumo this morning and tempted to start but ground is still wet on heavy going so I’ll be patient and wait till next week I think. Agronomist says I’ll be ok to put it in for the next 10days or so.time will tell if it’s the right decision.

Bit different here - ground too hard and dry for anything to grow. Discs slide on top and tines bring huge lumps up.
Going by the forecast for the next week OSR might be given a miss this year.

Our ground needs next weeks temps to dry a bit. Too wet to do anything to them at moment.
Hopefully drill mid week

Drilled 8 days ago off the back of a subsoiler/disc machine flying out the ground but already some shot holes

A week of 27°c will slow the slugs down. Cultivating today/tomorrow to begin to fry the little sods. Hot weather will.sort the flea beetle migration. Drill end of the week in a good seedbed in time for the rain next week.
Bit of fert in spring and a couple of sprays. Harvest 2t/acre next July, sell for £600/T.
Straight forward job 👍😎
