Our CX combine won't start help please urgently

Our CX combine went from full engine revs harvesting, then like turning off the key, it stopped. Where will I start?

Given your description I would start by climbing on top and checking if the conrods are still where they are supposed to be.

Our old 1075 Deere done this in the past and when thouroughly investigated it ended up being the main power cable coming into the cab was corroded through and was fine sometimes but not at others

First thing I'd check would be fuses.

With so much electrics/electronics these days it could easily just be a wire come apart or a blown fuse supplying the fuel pump. Or the ignition switch could have a fault.

Does the engine turn over on the key

Or as @Nick says

Not up on these machines, but does it have auto shutdown on low oil pressure or high water temperature?

Or has the battery suffered a sudden death?

Battery ok it will turn over the engine...just won't start

Be common rail. Start by checking fuses ' especially engine ecu fuses and relays. Harness connector at ecu on engine, that sort of thing. Can you access any fault codes with the key on ?

I had an issue with the rear access ladder not being stowed correctly. Can’t remember if it cut out when running, but definitely won’t start unless it’s fully clipped up.

Should start but won’t let you do anything else

Did you fill up with fuel recently? If not, dip the tank, as a failure of the sender/ meter etc may be giving you a false sense of the fuel level.

Check the power leads, the starter is 24v and the rest 12v, so there is a complicated layout of leads near the batteries to allow this, you may have a 12v failure.

Is the electric fuel pump at the bottom of the fuel tank running when the key is on?

Im only familiar with Case and not sure what you have on your combine, but have you checked the screen for fault codes.
