I did rush it in the end and as a result there are a few flaws but I'm not going to mention them, they might never be noticed. I just know they are there. It a serious improvement over what I started with so I'm happyLooking proper, best not to rush it, when its turning out so tidy
I am a true amateur but have been congratulated on my spray jobs, Preparation time is essential. Good primer coats (At least two) and rub down. Dilute paint 5-10% maximum and heat if need be.Use the best quality gun you can afford, use water traps in your air supply. Spray the edges first and use a good steady swing, keeping the distance from the work uniform. Over swing the edges . Use good light so that you can see and avoid dry spots and overspray. . Rub down between coats when almost hard with very fine WOD or tacking cloth but don`t leave more than 24 hours between coats. What sort of spray gun do you use John?

Runs are usually caused by over thinning, stopping the gun during the swing and inconsistent distance. If you get one don`t try to spray your way out of it. let it dry and patiently rub down. A few dry areas are far easier to deal with than runs.
I have never used two pack but always use Fast Flash thinners. Good quality polyurethane paint I find best .
I hope this helps.
