got coupla old gates....galvanising going......anything easy i can paint them with that'll stay on?

just google T wash (mordant solution) then wash the surface of the zinc ( you will know its worked coz it will turn black) with that and most paints should stick. I would suggest a good zinc phosphate is best

then you have to do a minimum of 3 coats at 15 minute intervals. each coat must be very thin so I ended up doing five. looks reasonable and having plenty of time not too many runs
as minshall said, mordaunt solution first then dulux metal primer them dulux metalshield. trouble is it's going to cost so doubt if it is worth it. can you get them galvanised again?got coupla old gates....galvanising going......anything easy i can paint them with that'll stay on?
