Paper bedding and slats/channels

Anybody have issues with cozi-bed/envirobed type products and slurry channels just had to have slurry pipes jetted and seem to have a good 1-2ft of gritty heavy sediment in all the channels and over the bottom of the lagoon, have only just switched over to the stuff, won’t be for long if this continues.

Do you not find the envirobed hard and lumpy compared to sawdust ?

we used to use it, stopped because the pumps seemed to struggle with it. It gets pastey, back onto sawdust now and no issues, bed easier to clean as well.

yes but it’s cheap and available! And wind resistant!

Pumping boys hate it here, we had one load and it left a slimy sludge in the pipes

We find sawdust goes a lot further than paper. It’s so dense, might look cheap /t but dear m3

Never had issues with paper. Been using it for at least 10yrs now. Can only think that maybe you’re using/wasting a lot of it. We average about 1-1/2 kg/cow/day.
