What have you guys heard about the pembrokeshire DeLaval robot farms? A good friend of mine told me there are four for sale in Pembrokeshire and a Dairymaster parlour going in to replace them.

Real cool

I’m not surprised. I went to a customer the other day he said his neighbours de Laval was giving him nothing but trouble.
I’ve no axe to grind either way but the chaps neighbour was a good friend of his.

Not sure about the Dairymaster

Asking for more trouble with the dairy master
I cannot understand why any person in there right mind would put in 4+0 pulsation and heavy bloody units

I have my own ideas on vacuum and pulsation but to be fair to Dairymaster it does milk the cows like they say
I’m trained on alternate pulsation and love it but I do have my favourite pulsators

I have 2 15 year old s/h delaval robots and they have been as good as gold.
As has the 23 year old delaval parlour

As we are hearing the local de Laval dealership is packing up
Not true, they’ve lost the agency.

Fine but dairy care customers told us they were packing up and your right they have lost the agency.
Are you sure they aren’t putting in a Pearson

You could be right but do you know why that is
Did the discussion man tell you how he solved it
Overmilking!!!

Too higher vacumn heavy units harsh pulsation
Good way to solve it
Put in acrs and cluster flush, which doesn’t solve the problem just masks it
Easier way take out pulsators and units and swap for something decent

I’ve milking in some lovely parlours
Lightweight clusters , gentle pulsation and low vacumn what have been a pleasure to milk in, so why do dairymaster parlours milk a completely different way to every other manufacturer

There is a 70 point rotary not far from you milks 3 times a day all he has done is put in impulse air on his Dairymaster good results.
The way to sort out parlours with badmastitis is to test and go from there
