Parlour wall coatings, which is best ?

Looking at wall coatings for a new parlour, previous one was done in fibreglass which looked perfect to start off with but is now starting to come away from the walls in various places. The walls are going to be built from blocks and possibly rendered although I quite liked the idea of not rendering to provide a good key for the coating also will have feeder pipes coming through the wall so have discounted plastic sheeting, I’m going to look at something called Duraflake. Opinions please.

How long has the fibreglass been up in the original parlour ?
Fibreglass can be a fixed directly to blocks and probably takes better.
Duraflake man wanted all walls rendering when we enquired.
We used dragon mouldings and after 5 yrs so far so good

Fibreglass been in for nearly twelve years, was good for about eight years then started to come away hence my thinking of not rendering the blocks to provide a good key.

Your probably too far into build/design but concrete panels everytime. Had a bit of fight with dairy inspector 20 years ago but panels are still perfect. Might have to cut out and remastic in a few years.

i used a resin paint and put a lot of coats on . ( basically fibreglass with out the fibre ) . still looks good 8 years on and 30% of the price

Plastic sheeting here for 18 years, just takes a careful person cutting it and fitting. Put pipes for feeders through the wall and allow for thickness of sheet plus a litt bit so cows can’t get teeth under plastic edge. Saw one parlour only in a year and end of pipe was flush with plastic, cows had ripped lumps out of the plastic.
