Paypal scam

I had a supposed email saying it was from Paypal and wanted me to update my details or my account would close. I was suspicious and rang Paypal who told me not to open the email as it was a scam.

Beware, because it did look fairly genuine. I hope these people get what they deserve and it is very painful.

I've had similar over the past couple of weeks, I never open any emails relating to PayPal 100% safe then. Getting stuff about logging into my Apple account too, only thing is I don't own a single Apple product or hold an account with them.

There are many emails from banks, paypal, ebay, amazon, all asking to update your details, all should be deleted.

The Paypal mail is years old, it is unlikely any of the places where on-line payment is taken or financial transactions take place will ask you to update your details by email.

for most sites to do an update, if you have forgotten your details password etc. You will need to be using the same Email account you signed in with, then attempt to log in on the site. If you cannot remember password , it will prompt you to click on " forgotten password". This will automatically send a link to your original email address. Then it is safe to use this link.

So why would I do that in response to a scammer [emoji36]
