Has this been some record year for pea moth?
Nothing more represents spring in the foodies year than a dish of the first new years pea risotto.
We had the best looking crop of peas in the garden for long time thanks to the warm spring and plenty of Irrigation
To my horror though the moth has got into 70/80% of the pods , sometimes 5/6 maggots in each.
I have never seen anything like it.
Is there anything I can do in future to prevent a repeat next year.
And no I am not looking for the answer. In my 50 year old gardening book, Dimethoate
