We are looking to put up a good size shed and I was told the other day that the permitted size of 465sqm is going to change to a 1000sqms. Does anybody know when the change is coming in Scotland, I can't see anything on the council planning web site.

The only was I'm asking its all about the planning fee, For example we are looking to put up 67mtr x 24mtr = 1608 sqms. At present in Scotland you are allowed to put up a shed at 465 or 510sqms with out planning, after that size its 400 quid per 75 sqms after that so the figures add up fast. I was just wondering when the rules are changing in Scotland to the 1000sqm PD.

In England they have updated the PD to 1000m2 but kept the planning fees for the old sizes if you don’t qualify. So you get reamed if you need planning.
