Only thing I could add would be if you have 3 phase get a 3 phase machine, you'd never regret it.

Looking at a plasmapart CUT50 here.
Clean cut 20mm, rough cut 25mm.
240v £550. Incl everything to get going straight away.
Looks good.

Anyone no the difference between a cut 40 pilot pro and a cut 45 eclipse CL seams a lot of price diff for 5 amp

High frequency start, so the torch auto reignites without having to re press the trigger, very handy for cutting mesh etc

Asked my bro about his tonight,it severed 30mm and clean cut about 25mm and cost him about £1800,he sold it when he stopped doing fab work,it was very expensive for consumables.

His advice was buy one you can get copy parts for.

I have a Plasma part cut 40 will cut 12mm, but needs more than 13amp plug for thick stuff

Yea I got a P40 HF good machine, wouldn't be as good as Hypertherm but I find the r tech machine tends to understate its capabilities rather than over state like some of the lower end machines

do they cut out much with over heating wi being a 60% duty cycle?

A right is that what it means so i deffo don't need a 100% duty cycle then. Don't want to have one that's always packing up most common size it be cutting is 12mm

you need to look at the out put needed to cut 12mm
if your plas is at max power to cut 12mm then you may have a problem if your doing a lot but if you on about 75-80% power then it will go a lot longer

Aye but to be realistic you would be cutting for 40 seconds then it would trip waiting 20 seconds before u could go again.
