My "old" radio transmitters have a white "plastic window" that needs replacing now and again. I have no idea of the specification of this "plastic window" and the company I purchased the system from no longer trades. I just wondered what would do? How thick should it be? 0.25mm or as much as 1mm. It is solid.

Just buy some clear perspex or that plastic they use in bus shelters (can't remember what it's called) and cut to suit.

Google 'perspex cut to size' it'll no doubt bring up someone close to you who could have some offcuts to suit your job.

It's obviously thinner than the enclosure, otherwise they wouldn't have bothered.

Measure it and find some plastic the same thickness.

polycarbonate plastic is what you'd be after.
as suggested, youl probably get it on the bay, or a plastics crowd if you can get one open.

I have a similar problem. (Number plate light on an IW trailer). Yes, I know I could buy a new light fitting but all these little "could do's" add up! Anyway, I'm mean. I've been thinking on the lines of clear visor plastic. Should be tough and easy enough to cut to shape.

Can you give us a sense of scale? If it's about the size that it looks based on the screwheads, would the little replacement perspex lenses for a welding mask do?
