EC09 here just type them into agri net on my phone as I walk around. You don’t need a map on agri net just field sizes and a name/number for them.

I'm new to plonking , but find on my scale, I just visualise the next 4 or 5 days grazing based on grass measurements
I do the same for the most part. Doesn’t really matter the farm size, I view the recording as a way to improve things, rather than just live day to day. That being said I own that Irish fella a subscription fee currently...

Just bought jenquip ec09 and put it into agrinet on the way round. Good middle ground platemeter in my view. The same platemeter seems to come in different guises so shop around.

£15 an hour she charges me. last month was £60 which includes putting it into agrinet for me.
In all honesty it wasn’t being done properly when I did it and I’m dam greatful for knowing our position now it’s gone so dry.
Didn’t realise you were being serious, is a professional plate meterer going round lots of farms? or someOne you know earning a bit of extra cash?

Bit of both. She’s my consultant who does a number of different jobs. She’s doing 2 farms now and looking for a bit more. Not even cash job. Proper invoice etc.

I can't convince myself it's better than actually walking the fields yourself , weed issues , seedheads appearing, disease , nutrient issues

It’s not but it’s better than it not being done. Slowly slowly catchy monkey. I can’t be everywhere so it’s a compromise. I should add she is exceptionally good and attentive so makes notes on each paddock ie burning, needing spray broken fences etc
