Does anyone know the super secret way of opening this plug? And yes I have tried all the usual ways. It's off a set of Truetest load bars.

Same as a Vaderstad drill box controller, afraid one of the few things I've not had apart, would have thought the main body would unscrew leaving the connectors and the male section of the plug but guess you've tried that already.

As trainee farmer has suggested, normally you would screw the plug to the connector, then unscrew the outer plastic part. But they are usually 3 part with a rubber compression gland to seal the cable.
In your first picture, if you poke down in the cable end with a scribed, you should be able to feel if it’s rubber or an epoxy potting compound.
There are special tools available, but they are usually expensive, so normally you just use the other half of the connector to hold the end while you unscrew the cover. You will never be able to hold it with pointy nosed pliers, circlip pliers etc. Shouldn’t be tight, will just be nipped tight. onto a rubber seal

Tool would be something like this.
