Thanks for this. Would it be true to say that although my tenancy says landlord gets wayleaves that only applies to the owners part and that he wouldn't be able to claim the occupiers part of the payment? Anybody know? would be worth quite a bit to me.
I think it would depend on aha or fbt , fbt I dare say you won't get anything but I might be wrong , aha you should get as we did before buying the farm.

In the process of notifying SSE that there is a change of ownership and will be looking at every detail to up payments without loosing the benefit of the old wayleaves.

Already challenged the guy at the top of the ladder and his attitude is they can do as they please on any phone or electric pole. Have fired off an enquiry to openreach will see how they respond.
You will be waiting a long time trust me , I would ask the chap to politely stop what he is doing until you see written proof he can do what he is doing simple.

Had a rough idea and then got hold of the area wayleave officer and asked on site , she looked into it and came back with a wayleave to sign
always in a hurry to get you to sign up, take your time, they won't normally pay rent for before you owned the land unless its in the agreement from the vendor, our was and managed to get it from them with a little awkwardness from me

How do you double or triple like something?

If you wait for a reply from Openreach you could be too old to spend any way leave payment!
