hi all
is there any body using portable cubicles for sucklers. Looking to put them into a existing loose house shed.
If so how long and wide do they prefer. Looking to put them up to a wall so would need lunging room also say 9ft. Then hopefully I’ll be left with around 15 feet up to the feed barrier on the opposite side.

Regards karliboy.

That’s mainly my reason also is a straw saving.
Thankfully my muck is fairly thick to start with so along with a little chopped straw of cubicle beds I’m hoping it won’t be to bad. And I can dump it on top of some dry stirk bedding.
I’m only looking at putting 20 in to start with. I may even consider casting my own to make them.
If I don’t like them I can always sell them.

Cheers

I have looked at theses. I was thinking a step up would be better though so if there’s any muck on the step it can be scraped off.
Do you not get them backing up to the steelwork for a scratch then mucking into the sand bed ?

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
