Fence could be 7 years old, crap posts, tantalised by a firm we have heard don’t like dry posts as they absorb to much tantalise, so it’s no surprise, however we hoped the post saver would at least do 10 years.
Is there anybody else out there with this situation?

We're making our own posts out of larch, soaking them in waste oil.
They're an ugly bunch but hard as hell.

Gotta be better than the crap that's on sale.

Got a fence to renew soon, that'll be clipex I reckon
Be careful with waste oil, it's not a preservative more of a barrier. Don't be fooled by the colour just because it's black doesn't mean it's creosote or as good.

I needed to move a couple of posts which had postsavers fitted after two years or so. Nothing wrong with the posts but I was putting a gateway in. One post was starting to show rot and the other was pretty far gone although the sleeves were above soil level. We now use fully creosoted posts. I have a box full of postsavers somewhere in sizes 3-4", 4-5",5-6" but could never find anyone interested in them.

I've some 60mm plastic posts to use for drain marking.
They're very, very wobbly , I reckon for them to be used for fencing it'd need a metal rod core in the post.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
