Power shuttle problem? MF 5445

Hello all!

we have a Massey Ferguson 5445 with a mechanical power shuttle system that is ailing.
We replaced the entire linkage and adjusted but as soon as we start to team in reverse, the shuttle pops out. If you hold the lever down in the cab it does not to this.
The tractor runs fine in forward. Is it a linkage adjustment issue or perhaps something more internal?
any help or advice is welcome! My dad has replaced the linkage before but this is the first time we have had this issue and want to see if anyone else has had a similar issue?

If you have adjusted the linkage, and checked for anything external that stops the linkage travelling its full length, then it is most probably an issue with the synchro hub internally.
This manual shuttle system is the work of the devil itself. Nasty, heavy, inconvenient to use and with clutches they never could get to work smoothly.

Have you an acceptably smooth manual clutch on yours?

Have you taken any land out of production from last autumn?
